Wow we both loved this restaurant the food is absolutely the best the lamb and their chickpeas and the best fries :p so so good don’t miss this also the Shish kebab yummmmmmm 10 !!!!! Great meal for two (again) at the Golden Lamb on the 26th April . The food was delicious and the lamb in both main dishes was melt in the mouth. Great taste and portion sizes at reasonable prices. The food and its presentation is consistently to a high standard. Recommend the spicy chips as a small side - they are finely cut and have a very morish spicy coating. The service is friendly and engaging. Paul is welcoming and friendly and is an excellent host.
We were there for iftar and we had an amazing time! The food was great the manager was amazing and akhii gave us a bag of chocolates and we loved it! Thank you!
If I could give the golden lamb 10 stars I would ! After being in derby for uni I was in search of a traditional Indian restaurant and I was not disappointed ! Over my time living in derby I have never had a bad meal from the golden lamb , every meal has been amazing despite whether I ate in the restaurant or ordered online .Every single member of staff makes you feel at home and nothing is ever too much for them to help. They cater for everyone (vegan , veggie , allergies and even fussy eaters). The food is also reasonably priced and of amazing quality and it is the only place in derby which serves food with edible 24k gold which is brilliant if you’d like to try something different ! Thank you to everyone at the golden lamb for making my time in derby wonderful and I will be returning in the future!
I was fortunate enough to be treated to my birthday meal here. Our waiter Paul was exceptional. He and his ear to ear smile made the night all the more memorable. The food was incredible. Every dish was seasoned to perfection, and I can confidently say it was one of the best curries I've ever eaten. I was also given a complimentary dessert, which was equally as delicious, as a birthday treat. Thank you for an unforgettable birthday meal!
Visited last night with my son. The food was AMAZING. The service was so friendly & the owners made us feel so welcome. Large portions and value for money x will return 100%. Derby has some fantastic Indian cuisine!
